We all manipulate each other. Even if you are sure that you do not control anyone, it is just an illusion.
George Simon — a teacher, a psychologist and an author of books, among which — the world bestseller “In Sheep’s Clothing: Understanding and Dealing with Manipulative People”. The interview with him was organized in preparation for the International Online Forum “Global Crisis. We Are People. We Want to Live”.
The volunteers of the Creative Society project asked George Simon questions concerning the relationships between people in the modern world:
- How often do people manipulate each other?
- What are the consequences of such manipulation?
- What is the gaslighting effect?
- Why do we not trust our inner voice, relying solely on reason and logic?
- What is the alternative to manipulative relationships between people?
In studying manipulations, George realized a very important thing, “If we don’t put love at the top of the agenda, then we’re not going to make it. And it starts one heart at a time. All kinds of things are possible when we honestly self-reckon and when we reckon lovingly with one another. We’ve got lots of issues to address and more important today perhaps than ever because of how interconnected we are. But we have to have the heart to humbly doing that..”
